Overview
Cover Locker helps you store receipts and warranty documents for insurance and repair claims. By default, your items, attached files, and extracted text are stored locally on your device.
Local data
When you use Cover Locker, your vault data — item names, purchase details, warranty dates, categories, and document files — remains on your phone unless you explicitly share an export. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may permanently delete locally stored records.
Camera and photo library
Cover Locker requests camera and photo library access so you can capture receipts and warranty documents or import existing images. Images you choose are saved to the app's private storage on your device.
OCR processing
Text recognition runs on your device to extract merchant names, dates, totals, and warranty fields from photos you capture. OCR results are stored locally with the associated item.
Sharing and exports
When you export a claim pack, Cover Locker creates a PDF summary and ZIP archive on your device and opens your platform's share sheet. What you send — and to whom — is entirely your choice. Cover Locker does not upload claim packs to our servers in the current version.
Accounts and cloud sync
The current version of Cover Locker does not require an account and does not sync data to the cloud. If cloud backup or sync is added in a future release, this policy will be updated before those features ship.
